Melissa Dungan was elected to the Conroe ISD Board of Trustees in November 2022. As the wife of a former Conroe ISD coach, teacher, and administrator, Dungan has seen the challenges facing our most qualified educators. As the mother of two young children, she also understands the tough choices that parents face across Conroe ISD.

 Dungan's passion for Conroe ISD students began in 2012 while serving on the board of Healthy Youth, a local non-profit organization committed to enhancing student achievement and preventing childhood obesity through sports. Dungan firmly believes that children deserve the best education possible and a Conroe ISD student’s education should be provided in a safe and loving environment.

 She understands that the strengthening of relationships between teachers, district decision makers, and parents is the only way to improve student performance. Dungan has astute analytical and management skills from her 19-year career in oil and gas compliance.

 Dungan resides in Conroe with her husband and two sons.
