Conroe ISD has received the highest recognition for transparency from the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts 11 years in a row. The Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts’ Transparency Stars program recognizes local governments and school districts for going above and beyond in their transparency efforts.

Awards of Excellence Image

Conroe ISD is proud to be among the group of educational institutions recognized by the Texas Association of School Business Officials (TASBO) with the prestigious Award of Excellence in Financial Management for the second consecutive year. Established in 2020, the award is given to Texas school districts that demonstrate professional standards, best practices, and innovations in the area of financial management and reporting.

The criteria to qualify for the Award of Excellence in Financial Management is stringent, based on financial accounting and reporting guidelines identified by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) Financial Accountability System Resource Guide (FASRG). Applicants must submit documents across 11 key areas, which are reviewed by a TASBO accounting subcommittee.

For the fifth consecutive year, Conroe ISD received the Purchasing Award of Merit from the Texas Association of School business Officials (TASBO) for its commitment to following processional standards in the acquisition of goods and services.

Conroe ISD is the recipient of the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting (COA) Program. The goal of the program is not to assess the financial health of participating governments, but rather to ensure that users of their financial statements have the information they need to do so themselves.

First Report Image

Conroe ISD has received a rating of “A” for “Superior Achievement” for the 21st consecutive year under Texas’ School FIRST Financial accountability rating systems scoring 98 out of a possible 100 points. The “Superior Achievement” rating is the state’s highest, demonstrating the quality of Conroe ISD’s financial management and reporting system.

Property Tax Database

Visit Texas.gov/PropertyTaxes to find a link to your local property tax database on which you can easily access information regarding your property taxes, including information regarding the amount of taxes that each entity that taxes your property will impose if the entity adopts its proposed tax rate.

Your local property tax database will be updated regularly during August and September as local elected officials propose and adopt the property tax rates that will determine how much you pay in property taxes.

A property owner may register to receive email notifications regarding updates to the property tax database by following the instructions found on the appraisal district’s homepage, www.mcad-tx.org
