In Conroe ISD, we encourage all students to read over the summer in order to enrich learning and provoke thought. Summer reading strengthens reading skills, increases academic achievement, fosters a love for reading, and empowers students to become life-long learners.
Additionally, students who enroll in advanced English courses are expected to engage in summer reading as it provides preparation for the upcoming school year and creates a common framework for classroom discussion and instruction.
The ORHS Summer Reading Program provides our War Eagles with an opportunity to select summer reading which will maintain and improve their skills as well as help prepare them for their next academic year. Please click on the appropriate course below for specific information. Enjoy summer and happy reading!
