About
The Conroe ISD Police Department employs 90+ full-time police officers, including campus and patrol officers, 3 Detectives, and 3 specialized K9 handlers. Conroe ISD Police patrol officers handle traffic enforcement, assist with calls for service, along with additional safety patrols at all of our elementary and intermediate campuses. Campus police officers are assigned to every high school campus, junior high school campus, and specific elementary and intermediate campuses. The CISD Investigations unit is comprised of 3 detectives and a sergeant who oversee and investigate major incidents and offenses occurring on District property, personnel investigations for the human resources department, internal investigations of department officers, and missing persons.
The department also employs over 100 civilian staff, including dispatchers, prevention control monitors, and crossing guards. Conroe ISD PD is the 3rd largest law enforcement agency in Montgomery County and has its own state of the art Dispatch center. Our dispatch center is one of five interconnected 911 public safety answering points (PSAPs) located in the county and has direct communication with all neighboring agencies. The Conroe ISD Police Dispatch Center serves as the communication hub for the Department and the District. The dispatch center operates 24/7, 365 days per year. Dispatchers receive calls for police, fire, or medical service within the District and then dispatch Conroe ISD police officers and ensure the Fire Department, and/or EMS are dispatched through our partner agencies as needed. Dispatch also monitors surveillance systems and fire alarm systems throughout the District. All calls made to 911 on district properties are routed to the Conroe ISD Dispatch Center directly for immediate response.
The CISD Police Department Honor Guard serves at the discretion of the Chief of Police and is a specially trained unit within our agency. The Honor Guard serves a very special purpose, as it is a vital public relations tool, which projects a positive image of our police department and profession and our dedication to the community. Officers assigned to the Honor Guard are available for special events, ceremonies, police funerals, and memorials.
The Conroe ISD Police Department is proud to be an accredited law enforcement agency through the Texas Police Chief's Association.
The Law Enforcement Accreditation Program is a voluntary process where police agencies in Texas prove their compliance with 170+ Texas Law Enforcement Best Practices. These Best Practices were carefully developed by Texas Law Enforcement professionals to assist agencies in the efficient and effective delivery of service, the reduction of risk and the protection of individual’s rights.
